Movie World

Frequently asked questions

Where does the information come from?

Titles, years, genres, overviews, posters, cast and ratings come from TMDB, a community-maintained film and television database. Each title page links back to its TMDB entry, and to its IMDb page where the identifier is known, so you can cross-check anything you read here.

Does Movie World host video files?

No. The catalogue stores information about titles. Any external link points to a server run by someone else.

Do I need an account?

No. Browsing the catalogue, reading title pages and watching trailers needs no account. An account adds a personal library, watch history and preferences that follow you between devices.

How often is the catalogue updated?

New and trending releases are pulled in daily, and existing pages are refreshed as their source data changes.

A title is missing or the details are wrong. What now?

Because the data comes from TMDB, a correction made there flows through to this site automatically and is the fastest fix. For problems with this site itself, use the contact page.

How do I browse the whole catalogue?

Start from all movies or all series, or narrow things down by genre, by year or alphabetically.
